After a thorough screening and interview process the search committee, the Palomar College Governing Board last night accepted the committee's recommendation of Robert Deegan, Vice President of Student Services at Santiago Canyon College, and Richard Jarvis, immediate past Chancellor of the Oregon University System and former Chancellor of the University and Community College System of Nevada as finalists for the top post at Palomar College.…
 
Music gets money back from ASG
The Associated Student Government returned $1,750 originally cut from the music budget at a Sept. 22 meeting. "This is great news for us," said department chairman Michael Mufson. "To be getting this money back in these tight times." District, faculty close to contract deal
The Palomar Faculty Federation met Sept. 28 and 29 to fine tune contract details. The PFF has been negotiating with the Palomar Community College District for a contract since the union formed three years ago. Palomar student Cody Campbell is a different breed of animal. Jose Medina, internationally renowned tenor and Tijuana Opera's artistic director, is the featured soloist in the One World - Many Voices Concert on Oct. 23 and 24 at Palomar College. College looks to curb smoking
A coalition of students, health professinals and college officals are spearheading a campaign to stop smoking on campus.
