Plans to expand the Palomar College Nursing Department to an evening and weekend program have once again been postponed due to a hiring shortage of qualified professors.
With a waitlist of more than 400 students, usually waiting two to three years to gain admission, the Nursing Department will try to launch the expansion to bring in an additional 20 students this spring if the hiring pool increases, said Nursing Department Director Judy Eckhart.…
