As of July 1, 2008 residents of California no longer have the freedom to hold their cell phones to their ears while driving, thanks to the new hands-free law.

The city of San Marcos is limiting how many students can live together in one house.
On August 7, the council put into effect a housing ordinance that says one single family house can have no more than four leases.
